Sectors · Fertility and women's health

Fertility clinics where every step of a cycle is on one record.

We connect the systems your clinic already uses and build the software that is still missing. The cycle record, the consents, the hormone and embryology results, the patient's medication schedule and the donor programme belong in one system that follows the patient for months.

The patient path

A treatment cycle from the first consultation to the outcome.

01

First consultation

Both partners give their history at the clinic, and the treatment and storage consents are signed, partly on paper.

ImprovementBoth partners fill in their history at home, and the consents are signed electronically.

02

Stimulation and monitoring

Scans and hormone results set the doses and the next appointment from day to day. Outside results are copied in by hand.

ImprovementOutside results reach the cycle record directly, and patients see the new plan on their phone.

03

Egg collection

The collection date is known only 36 hours ahead, when the trigger injection is given. Theatre, embryology laboratory and weekend staff are rearranged by phone.

ImprovementWhen the doctor sets the trigger date, the theatre slot, the embryology laboratory and the staff rota are booked in the same system.

04

Embryology

Fertilisation and culture are recorded, with witnessing at each hand over.

ImprovementWitnessing and incubator data from the systems the clinic already uses are connected to the cycle record.

05

Transfer or freezing

The embryo is transferred or frozen. Storage periods and renewals are tracked in a spreadsheet.

ImprovementThe system tracks every storage period and sends the renewal request before it ends.

06

Outcome

The pregnancy test, the early scan and the birth outcome close the cycle. After the test the clinic loses contact with the patient.

ImprovementOutcome questionnaires go out online at set intervals, and the answers return to the record.

07

Next cycle or donor treatment

A later frozen transfer opens the next cycle on the same record, and donor cells follow their own rules.

ImprovementThe next cycle opens on the same record, with the consents and stored embryos already in it.

The goal

A treatment that stays on track over several months.

For the clinic

  • Every consent and storage period tracked by the system
  • Every step of the cycle on one record
  • Outcome figures collected without phoning patients

For doctors, nurses and embryologists

  • Hormone results in the record the day they are released
  • Fewer repeat phone calls from patients
  • A consent check before each step that needs one

For patients and partners

  • The plan and the next step on the phone the day the doctor changes it
  • Both partners fill in their history at home before the first visit
  • A reminder before the storage period ends
Problems and solutions

What we hear, and what we do about it.

Patients phone with the same questions at every stage of the cycle.

A patient app or portal reads the plan from the cycle record, and a change the doctor makes reaches the patient the same day. Both partners fill in their history and questionnaires in the same app before the first consultation. We assess the qualification of the app under MDCG 2019-11 (guidance from the EU Medical Device Coordination Group) against its intended purpose (what the manufacturer states the software is for). If it only shows the doctor's plan and calculates nothing, it is outside the MDR. For the US market, we check the same functions against the FDA guidance on device software functions.

Digitalisation and workflow automation
We cannot see at a glance which consents a couple has signed and which have run out.

Each consent is a record with its scope, form version, the signature of each partner and its validity. A step that needs a consent checks for it, and the storage renewal request goes out before the period ends.

Digitalisation and workflow automation
Hormone results come from an outside laboratory and are copied into the cycle record by hand.

We specify and build the interface over HL7 v2 or FHIR. Each result is matched to the patient and the cycle, and it appears in the record when the laboratory releases it.

Interoperability
Egg collection days are hard to plan for theatre, the laboratory and the weekend staff.

Scan and blood test dates move with the patient's response, so the appointments follow the cycle. Theatre slots for egg collection, the embryology laboratory and the weekend staff are planned from one source.

Digitalisation and workflow automation
After the pregnancy test we lose track of the patient.

Outcome questionnaires go out at set intervals after the cycle, for the pregnancy test, the early scan and the birth outcome. The answers return to the record for the clinic's own figures and for registry reporting.

Digitalisation and workflow automation
Our donor programme has outgrown the clinic's tools.

A donor programme needs donor screening, quarantine, anonymous identifiers, limits per country and recall. We start from your programme, the EU rules on tissues and cells (Directive 2004/23/EC, replaced by the SoHO (substances of human origin) Regulation (EU) 2024/1938 from August 2027) and the national rules of the countries you work with.

Medical software development
We are afraid to change anything while patients are in the middle of a cycle.

Each step is a separate contract with a written result, and the first one can be a single part of the pathway. We start from how the clinic works today, and the new step replaces a manual one. After go live we train the staff and stay on call.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions.

01

Can patients see their treatment plan and medication schedule on their phone?

Yes. A patient app or portal reads the plan from the cycle record, and a change the doctor makes reaches the patient with a notification the same day. We assess its qualification under MDCG 2019-11 against its intended purpose. If it only shows the doctor's plan and calculates nothing, it is outside the MDR. For the US market, we check the same functions against the FDA guidance on device software functions.

02

Can consents be signed electronically and checked by the system?

Yes. Each consent becomes a record with its scope, form version, the signature of each partner and its validity, signed under eIDAS. Steps that need a consent check for it, and storage renewals are requested before the period ends.

03

Can you bring the outside laboratory's hormone results into our cycle record?

Yes, where the laboratory sends results electronically. We specify and build the interface over HL7 v2 or FHIR, match each result to the patient and the cycle, and show it in the record when it is released.

04

Do you sell an IVF clinic system?

No. We build around the system you run and add what it lacks. When a system is being replaced, we write the requirements and score the vendors. We resell no product, so the comparison is vendor neutral.

05

How is the data of patients, partners and donors protected?

It is health and genetic data under Article 9 of the GDPR. Access is set by role, donor identity is separated from recipients, every access is logged, and test data is pseudonymised and stays in the EU under a data processing agreement. In the US, the same work runs under HIPAA and a business associate agreement. New systems keep the connection to the national record working, for example Telematikinfrastruktur and ePA in Germany or EESZT in Hungary.

06

Can you build software for our donor programme?

We specify and build it from your programme. A donor programme needs donor screening, quarantine, anonymous identifiers, limits per country and recall, whether the clinic runs it itself or receives units from a donor bank. The rules of the countries you work with come first.

07

How does a first project start?

With a free call with our management about one part of the treatment pathway. The next step is a written scope with effort, duration and price, agreed before any work starts.
