Dr. Linda Szántó received THE PIONEER award at the Women Entrepreneurs' Day 2026

At the Women Entrepreneurs' Day 2026, Dr. Linda Szántó's work was recognised with THE PIONEER award, which celebrates choosing less-trodden paths and opening up new directions.

The Pioneer award is given to those who dare to set out on difficult, often uncertain paths and through their work create opportunities for others. Dr. Linda Szántó's professional career reflects this attitude, especially in a field like the technology sector — and within it medical-device software development — which is still a largely male-dominated environment.

The high-profile event was organised by Gyöngyvér Mihalik and Dóra Spanics together with their team, who have been building an ever higher-quality programme for years; today it draws more than 2,000 visitors and over 70 exhibitors. The award ceremony took place at the special Bálna Budapest venue, providing a fitting setting for the occasion.

Although the award bears Dr. Linda Szántó's name, it is unmistakably the joint achievement of the Silurus Software Ltd. team. Without our colleagues' professional rigour, persistence and commitment, this recognition would not have been possible.

Dr. Linda Szántó has been nominated in THE PIONEER category, with the winner announced at the Women Entrepreneurs' Day 2026.

The award recognises women entrepreneurs who dare to step outside conventional frameworks and build value in fields where the path is less travelled. Dr. Linda Szántó's career is a clear example of this attitude — within the technology sector, medical-device software development is still largely male-dominated.

In such an environment it carries particular weight when a professional community recognises and values achievements. The nomination is not only personal feedback but also confirmation that consistent, high-quality work and the search for new directions have a real impact.

MEDICA 2025: international networking and new collaboration opportunities

It was a great experience to take part in MEDICA — Leading International Trade Fair 2025 in Düsseldorf, one of the world's largest medtech and healthcare exhibitions. A fantastic opportunity to meet industry leaders, explore the latest health-tech innovations and continue building our international network. For the Silurus Software Ltd. team it was particularly inspiring to meet specialists and potential partners. It was also good to reconnect with people we already knew. We're now turning the on-site conversations into action and continuing those professional discussions beyond the event.

Silurus at Medical Technology Ireland (Galway) 2025

In September 2025 we were pleased to take part in Medical Technology Ireland in Galway. The event is one of Europe's largest and fastest-growing meeting places dedicated to medical-device design and manufacturing.

The conference brought together more than 350 international exhibitors covering the full spectrum of medical technology. But it is more than an exhibition: Medical Technology Ireland is complemented by a two-day expert-led conference programme focused on innovation, market trends, regulatory challenges and the future of medical technology.

During the event we presented our expertise in software development, system integration and medical imaging, and met many inspiring professionals from across the industry.

We came home with new energy, plenty of ideas and potential collaborations. We are already looking forward to continuing the Galway conversations and building further on the connections that started there.

Silurus Software at Swiss Medtech Expo

This year our company took part in Swiss Medtech Expo in Lucerne — one of Europe's most important medtech forums — meeting industry players, innovators and decision-makers. We made many valuable connections, had inspiring professional conversations and gained insight into the latest trends and development directions.

The Leader of the Year award was founded by Bizalmi Kör with support from Dun & Bradstreet, and each year recognises Hungary's most outstanding CEOs. The programme is the most prestigious professional ranking in the country's business community.

Evaluation criteria include business effectiveness, innovation, the use of digitalisation, team leadership and development, and social responsibility.

We are proud that Linda has made the list of top female leaders in two consecutive years. This success is a reaffirmation that Silurus Software is built on stable operations, professional capability and reliability — and is the result of the team's joint work.

Silurus Software received the highest financial reliability rating: AAA

We are delighted to share that Silurus Software Kft. has received the Dun & Bradstreet AAA (Triple A) Certificate, placing us in the top 1% of Hungarian companies in terms of financial stability and business reliability. This is the highest recognition awarded by the Dun & Bradstreet rating system to exceptionally trustworthy companies.

Dun & Bradstreet is a globally recognised business-information provider with more than 180 years of history, evaluating companies according to a strictly objective methodology developed by international experts. The certificate cannot be applied for; only companies with truly outstanding operational metrics and business background are rated.

The rating combines several criteria. It considers the company's demographic data — age, headcount, activities, ownership structure and its changes. It also analyses financial performance, including balance-sheet data, profit and loss, indicators and financial trends. Dun & Bradstreet also evaluates negative information — for example, legal events affecting operations or enforcement records — as well as payment experience, i.e. how punctually the company settles its invoices. Finally, the macroeconomic environment is taken into account, including the performance of the sector and region in which the company operates.

For us, this certificate is not just recognition but also confirmation that transparent, conscious operation creates value over the long term. We thank our clients, partners and colleagues for contributing to this result.

Bayer Co.Lab Berlin — a home for early-stage life-science startups

As part of the BIONNALE tour, Linda visited Bayer Co.Lab Berlin — a brand-new centre established specifically to support early-stage biotech and life-science startups.

The visit was hosted by Bettina von Streit, Head of the Bayer Berlin site, and Ruth R. Shah, Head of Co.Lab, who showed the group around the newly created lab and office spaces.

The infrastructure is designed to support the development of healthcare innovations — from startup mentoring to access to scientific expertise. Co.Lab is committed to shaping the future of healthcare.

BeST @ Charité — medical simulation tour

As a pre-event of BIONNALE, Linda visited the Charité Berliner Simulations- und Trainingszentrum (BeST). The tour was led by unit head Philipp Landgraf and offered a fascinating insight into the operation of a realistic simulation hospital — with real IT systems, authentic medical devices and "immortal" patients (lifelike mannequins).

An agile development approach is tested in an environment extremely close to the real world — an excellent example of how innovation and practical application meet in healthcare.

A valuable glimpse into the future of clinical training and medical-device prototype development.

Silurus Software introduced itself in the Medical Valley community

On 28 April 2025, at the annual general meeting of Medical Valley EMN e.V., Péter Török, co-founder and CEO of Silurus Software, presented our company to the community in Erlangen.

During the introduction we saw great interest in our medical-technology and healthcare software development services and expertise. It was particularly pleasing to meet not only new partners but also several former acquaintances again.

This event brought us even closer to Medical Valley's inspiring community, to whose values and mission we are very glad to contribute with our professional experience.

Strengthening cybersecurity awareness — preparing for NIS2

We are pleased to share that our Managing Director, Linda Szántó, has successfully completed the "Introduction to applying the NIS2 directive" training delivered by the ELTE Faculty of Informatics, and then took part in the "NIS2 in practice — information-security regulations" workshop organised by Digitális Kormányzati Fejlesztés és Projektmenedzsment Kft. (DKF) — both events as part of the DigitalTech EDIH project.

Although Silurus Software does not currently fall within the scope of organisations bound by the NIS2 directive, we consider it important to prepare for compliance voluntarily and in good time. Through these steps we acquire up-to-date knowledge and contribute to strengthening cybersecurity awareness within the company, so that we remain a reliable, security-conscious partner to our clients in the long run.

We believe cybersecurity is not just a matter of compliance but a core value — part of responsible operation.

Silurus Software Kft. has joined Medical Valley EMN

In March 2025, Silurus Software Kft. joined the Medical Valley European Metropolitan Region Nuremberg (EMN) cluster — a leading international innovation ecosystem in healthcare management. Medical Valley EMN counts more than 250 members from industry, science, healthcare, networks and policy, working together to address the present and future challenges of healthcare. This membership gives Silurus Software the opportunity to take part in the cluster's innovation projects and services, supporting the company's growth and international market presence.

Silurus Software returned from the Budapest MedTech Summit with new medtech partnerships

Silurus Software took part in the Budapest MedTech Summit — one of the region's most prominent medtech events, this year focused on digital health, artificial intelligence and innovation in patient care. The event was a great opportunity to build valuable professional connections, particularly with Medical Valley EMN — a globally recognised German healthcare-innovation ecosystem — and with BrightHills Kft., which also has significant experience in the medtech field. These new connections are an important step in expanding our presence in healthcare software development and working together on the healthcare solutions of the future.

Meeting at the Embassy in Singapore

During their visit to the Singapore office, the leaders of Silurus Software paid a call on the Embassy of Hungary in Singapore, where they met Ambassador Judit Pach and Commercial Attaché Péter Martonosi.

The meeting covered possible areas of cooperation and how the embassy's expertise and network can support strengthening the company's presence in Singapore.

Ambassador Judit Pach summarised the meeting as follows:

"I had an insightful discussion with Silurus Software Ltd., a Hungarian IT company with a strong track record in medical technology, particularly in oncology treatment software. As a trusted supplier to Siemens they are now exploring expansion opportunities in Singapore. Hungary has a rich legacy in IT innovation, and companies like Silurus Software continue this tradition with expertise in healthcare solutions, banking technology, and European compliance. Their work demonstrates how Hungarian tech excellence can contribute to Singapore's dynamic market. We are pleased to support such initiatives, fostering new connections in the region."

Péter and Linda gave a talk at Óbuda University at the invitation of IVSZ (Association of IT Companies)

Linda and Péter, Managing Directors of Silurus Software Kft., were invited to an event organised by IVSZ focused on the digitalisation of healthcare. The title of the event — "Is MedTech real business for us?" — perfectly reflected the challenges and opportunities the sector is facing today.

The programme included a presentation of Óbuda University's innovative laboratory and equipment, used for active participation in da Vinci surgical-robot development. We also heard exciting talks on the application of AI in life sciences, which can revolutionise healthcare technology.

Linda and Péter — entrepreneurs who have been active in the Hungarian medtech market for years — shared their experience on HR and market challenges.

The day offered a glimpse into the future of healthcare and further strengthened our commitment to the medtech sector.
