Silurus Software at MedtecLIVE 2026 in Stuttgart

n May 2026 we attended MedtecLIVE in Stuttgart, one of Europe's most focused trade fairs for the development and manufacturing of medical technology. The event covered the entire value chain of medical technology with a particular focus on digitalisation, automation, AI and MDR/IVDR compliance.

t was a great opportunity to meet professionals from across the MedTech industry and present our services in medical software development, regulatory compliance and SaMD development. We had inspiring conversations about the challenges companies face when developing software that satisfies both clinical and regulatory requirements.

We look forward to continuing the conversations started in Stuttgart and building further on the connections made there.

Silurus Software at DMEA 2026 in Berlin

n April 2026 we had the opportunity to attend DMEA in Berlin, Europe's leading trade fair for digital health. The event brought together over 20,000 participants from across the healthcare and health-tech industry, covering topics such as AI in clinical workflows, interoperability, electronic patient records, and data security.

For us it was a valuable opportunity to connect with specialists and potential partners, and to present our expertise in healthcare software development, HL7/FHIR integration, and IEC 62304-compliant medical software. The conversations at DMEA confirmed that engineering quality and regulatory experience are becoming increasingly decisive factors for MedTech and digital health companies.

We left Berlin with new connections and a clearer picture of where the European digital health market is heading.

At the Női Vállalkozók Napja 2026 (Women Entrepreneurs’ Day 2026), Dr. Linda Szántó was honored with the THE PIONEER award, recognizing a professional journey defined by choosing less conventional paths and opening new directions for others. The Pioneer award is granted to those who dare to embark on challenging, often uncertain paths and, through their work, create opportunities for others. Dr. Szántó Linda’s career reflects this mindset, particularly within the technology sector and more specifically in medical software development, a field that remains largely male-dominated. The event was organized by Gyöngyvér Mihalik and Dóra Spanics and their team, who have been building a high-quality event for several years. With more than 2,000 attendees and over 70 exhibitors, the event has grown into a standout gathering not only in Hungary but also at the European level. The award ceremony took place at the remarkable Bálna Budapest, providing a fitting setting for the occasion. While the award is associated with Linda, it is clearly the result of the collective work of the Silurus Software Ltd. team. The dedication, perseverance, and professional excellence of the team made this recognition possible. Szántó Linda, Managing Director of Silurus Software Ltd. and recipient of the Female Business Leader of the Year award, was featured as a guest in the VIP segment of Jazzy Radio’s Business Class program. Silurus at Medical Technology Ireland (Galway) 2025

We had the pleasure of attending Medical Technology Ireland this September in Galway. The event is recognized as one of Europe’s largest and fastest-growing gatherings for medical device design and manufacturing. The conference brought together over 350 global exhibitors, covering the full spectrum of advanced medical technologies. It’s not just a showcase: Medical Technology Ireland combines the exhibition with a two-day conference programme featuring expert-led sessions on innovation, market trends, regulatory challenges, and the future of medtech. Throughout the event, we had the chance to present our expertise in software development, system integration, and medical imaging, and to connect with many inspiring professionals from across the industry. We returned energized, full of ideas to explore and new collaborations to pursue. We’re looking forward to following up with those we met and continuing the conversation well beyond Galway.

This is the highest recognition granted by Dun & Bradstreet’s rating system to exceptionally trustworthy enterprises. Dun & Bradstreet is a globally recognized business information provider with more than 180 years of history. It evaluates companies based on a strictly objective methodology developed by international experts. The certificate cannot be applied or registered for — it is awarded exclusively to companies that demonstrate truly outstanding operational indicators and business background. The rating is based on a comprehensive assessment of multiple factors. It takes into account a company’s demographic data, such as its age, number of employees, activity profile, ownership structure, and its changes over time. During our BIONNALE Tour, Linda had the pleasure of visiting Bayer Co.Lab Berlin – a brand-new space dedicated to early-stage biotech and life science ventures. She was welcomed by Bettina von Streit, Site Head at Bayer Berlin, and Ruth R. Shah, Head of Co.Lab, who introduced the group to their cutting-edge lab and office infrastructure, designed to support high-potential health innovations. From startup mentoring to access to scientific expertise, Co.Lab represents a powerful commitment to shaping the future of healthcare.

BeST @ Charité – Immersive Medical Simulation Tour

As part of the BIONNALE pre-event tour, Linda visited the Berliner Simulations- und Trainingszentrum (BeST) at Charité. Led by Unit Head Philipp Landgraf, she experienced a truly inspiring simulation hospital setup — complete with real IT systems, authentic medical devices, and even ‘immortal’ patients (realistic mannequins!). Their agile development approach, tested in such a close-to-reality environment, highlighted how innovation meets practicality in healthcare system design. A powerful insight into the future of clinical training and medtech prototyping.

Strengthening Cybersecurity Awareness – Preparing for NIS2

We’re pleased to share that our CEO, Linda Szántó, has successfully completed the training titled “Introduction to the Application of the NIS2 Directive”, held by the Faculty of Informatics at Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE). She also participated in the “NIS2 in Practice – Information Security Regulations” workshop, organized by the Digital Government Development and Project Management Ltd. (DKF) – both events took place within the framework of the DigitalTech EDIH project. Although Silurus Software is not yet among the entities obligated by the NIS2 directive, we consider it essential to voluntarily and proactively prepare for compliance. Through these steps, we not only gain up-to-date knowledge but also contribute to strengthening cybersecurity awareness within our company, ensuring that we remain a reliable and security-conscious partner for our clients in the long run. We believe cybersecurity is not just about compliance, but a core value – an integral part of responsible operations.

Silurus Software participated in the MedTech Summit in Budapest, one of the leading medical technology events in the region. This year’s focus was on digital healthcare, artificial intelligence, and innovations in patient care. During their visit to the Singapore office, the executives of Silurus Software also visited the Hungarian Embassy in Singapore, where they met with Her Excellency Ambassador Judit Pach and Trade Attaché Péter Martonosi. The discussion focused on the potential areas of collaboration, as well as how the expertise and network of the embassy could support the company’s presence in Singapore. Linda and Péter, managing directors of Silurus Software Kft., were invited to an event organized by IVSZ, which focused on the digitalization of healthcare. The event, titled "Is MedTech Real Business for Us?", perfectly highlighted the challenges and opportunities the sector faces today. During the event, Óbuda University's innovative lab and equipment system, which actively participates in the development of da Vinci surgical robots, were showcased. Additionally, we heard fascinating presentations on the application of AI in Life Sciences, which has the potential to revolutionize healthcare technologies. Linda and Péter, as entrepreneurs with years of experience in the Hungarian MedTech market, shared their insights on HR and market challenges.
